This presentation is designed to challenge participants to understand CMS emergency food and nutrition standards and ready their facilities. Using real life scenarios, we will dive into menu, equipment, utility, and emotional preparedness considerations that may be overlooked when preparing for an emergency or disaster.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will understand current CMS emergency food and menu standards and guidelines.
  • Participants will be able to state three considerations for food, water, and supply preparedness.
  • Participants will be able to identify three staffing considerations for emergency planning.
