For many, the long-term care facility is the final living situation for the elderly. Providing for comfortable living in the “golden years” should be of the utmost importance to those working in long-term care. Food plays a very important role in the quality of life. This course allows the Certified Dietary Manager to discuss the current trends in providing comfort foods and how to incorporate these foods into the healthcare menu, and to understand the relationship between comfort foods and comfort cares in the elderly population.
