Welcome to this practical session, presented as a joint venture between the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals and MealSuite, on strengthening resident dining compliance through tech-enabled tools. Together, we’ll explore how teams can quickly find regulatory guidance, identify dining concerns earlier, coach person-centered service, and respond appropriately to nutrition-related refusals. You’ll leave with practical strategies for observations, staff coaching, and documenting resident choice versus refusal.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and use regulatory resources to meet dining service standards while maintaining an elevated resident dining experience.
- Use structured resident observations to identify intake and satisfaction gaps early.
- Coach front-line staff on service standards and person-centered dining practices.
- Explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives when residents refuse nutrition-related physician orders.
