Basic Baking is a course that focuses on the fundamental principles and techniques of baking. With basic recipes and examples, you will be equipped with the necessary tools to either start down the path of learning to bake or sharpening your current baking skills. Wherever you might be in your career, this course will give you the knowledge you need to succeed in baking.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the successful learner will be able to:

  • Identify and recognize different baked items and mixing methods, as well as how and when to use them
  • Identify and recognize the advantages and disadvantages of using convenience items
  • Properly bake commonly-baked items from scratch
