This webinar will review the different 2020-21 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) survey protocols that drive the cares provided in a Long-Term Care Community. This webinar will focus on Life Safety Z-Tags, Disaster Preparedness Z E0042.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the successful learner will be able to:

  • Develop an understanding of life safety regulation and report cards
  • Review CMS Long-Term Care Regulations 483.60 and F-tag deficiencies as it relates to qualified dietary staff and dietary competencies
  • Analyze survey finding examples to develop best practices that lead to a successful survey process for your dining services

Speaker: Barbara Thomsen, CDM, CFPP, RAC-CT, ICAC is a resident assessment coordinator and an adjunct instructor with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, having worked in facilities, government roles, and in many national board positions. She has conducted numerous long-term care educational sessions across the country and currently is an Independent Health Care Consultant/Educator for ANFP as the Education & Regulatory Outreach Consultant.
