Description

Long-term care for the 20th century has its mission to create a care environment for our seniors that will promote quality of life and quality of care mutually. The residents’ abilities to achieve successful nutritional outcomes is dependent on their personalized plan of care. The MDS 3.0 is the instrument used to ensure a true “head-to-toe” approach to individualizing their cares. Process driven, the RAI’s interdisciplinary approach defines the residents’ unique path towards achieving /maintaining their highest practical level of well-being.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this online course the participant will be able to:

  • Recognize the purpose behind the interdisciplinary process of the MDS 3.0 and the RAI instrument.
  • Collect and organize appropriate nutritional data to create a person-centered care plan.
  • Integrate the nutrition and clinical data processes to follow the most current regulatory guidelines.

This course is a level II continuing competence.
