You will build a working vocabulary of terms related to body systems, medical conditions, tests, treatments, and surgeries. You will learn that some food and drugs do not mix and how that impacts the health and care of the client.
Upon completion of this course, the successful learner will be able to:
- Analyze medical terminology related to body systems, medical conditions, diagnostics, and treatment
- Translate abbreviations used in medicine and apply principles for documentation in the medical chart
- Identify common drug-nutrient interactions that impact nutrition care
