What’s next for CMS in their efforts to continue to promote resident-centered care? October 2018 brought new MDS item changes and November 2018 started the final Phase III of the LTC Mega Rule campaign that was initiated in 2016 - the most expansive regulatory changes in long-term care in years. CDMs and nutrition/dietary departments benefited in a HUGE way. As CDM professionals, it is imperative to stay abreast of these changes and implement the departmental tasks required to solidify the importance placed on the CDM title and the role this position now holds in your community's long-term care team! Join us and understand the facts to be successful and compliant with these new rules!
